The hearing of the Property Services Commissioner’s Bill in the Lower House, has been pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic and current restrictions. This means THERE IS STILL TIME FOR US TO EFFECT CHANGE.
In light of the recent COVID-19 resurgence and the difficulties the ensuing restrictions pose to property agents, landlords and tenants alike, it’s now more important than ever before to have an independent Property Services Commissioner – someone who truly understands our great industry. A Commissioner dedicated to getting the absolute best outcomes for property consumers. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us again that if we ever needed to make this change, now is truly the time.
For the past 10 years the REINSW has relentlessly lobbied Government to remove our Industry from NSW Fair Trading and establish a Property Services Commission.
The hearing of the Property Services Commissioner’s Bill in the Lower House, having been pushed back due to COVID-19 restrictions in June 2021, is now due to be debated during the first two weeks of August 2021.
